What is Naturopathy? Holistic Health? What about Health
Freedom?
Naturopathic
Studies: The first annotation in the dictionary
defines "doctor" as a teacher. A naturopath is a
teacher of natural means for enhancing health, wellness and longevity.
Naturopathy is not a system of medicine, diagnosis or treatments
such as are held by the medical societies, but a lifestyle of
practices which builds immunity, improves mental health and enhances
body function. Our belief is that every person has the right to
learn of the natural God-given, life-enhancing practices embodied
in naturopathy which will help him/her maintain mental, physical
and emotional health. To this end, the Trinity College of Natural
Health offers training which shall first be used by the individual
for his/her own personal development after which time, at the
individual's own discretion, may be used to educate others.
Naturopathy embodies philosophies and principles
involving pure water, clean air, wholesome food, proper diet and
nutrition, exercise, proper living, appropriate rest, right thinking,
absence from toxic substances, body ecology, effective management
of stress and a number of other natural subjects which lead to
a balanced living concept. Only those who agree with this philosophy
should apply to the Trinity College of Natural Health. We believe
that physical health is primarily a reflection of God's universal
law of cause and effect. A man reaps what he sows. How we care
for our bodies is both a physical and spiritual issue which impacts
our health and the health of our offspring. In cases where health
principles have been violated the only true "cure" is
for the body to restore its own protective mechanisms by removing
those physical and spiritual roadblocks which hinder proper restoration
and/or healing.

"Naturopathy: a distinct system of
non-invasive healthcare and health assessment in which neither
surgery nor drugs are used, dependence being placed only on education,
counseling, naturopathic modalities and natural substances, including
without limitation, the use of foods, food extracts, vitamins,
minerals, enzymes, digestive aids, botanical substances, topical
natural substances, homeopathic preparations, air, water, heat,
cold, sound, light, the physical modalities of magnetic therapy,
naturopathic non-manipulative bodywork and exercise to help stimulate
and maintain the individual's intrinsic self-healing processes."
What a Traditional naturopath does NOT do.
A Traditional naturopath avoids procedures common
to medical care. Among them are: diagnosing disease, treating
disease, prescribing drugs and pharmaceuticals, and performing
invasive procedures. In determining the root cause of a client's
problems, Traditional Naturopaths do not diagnose or treat disease,
but instead focus on health and education. They teach clients
how to create an internal and an external environment that is
conducive to good health, enabling the clients to make their own
choices. Traditional naturopathy is not a medical practice. Major
and minor surgery, prescribing drugs and pharmaceuticals, giving
injections and drawing blood should be limited to medical doctors
only and not performed within the scope of naturopathy.

What Does Holistic Mean?
Holistic means relating to or concerned with wholes or with complete
systems rather than with the analysis of, treatment of, or dissection
into parts. Holistic Healing is about treating Mind, Body and
Spirit... The whole person. Natural health is an eclectic self-care
system of natural therapies that builds and restores health and
wellness by working with the natural recuperative powers of the
human body.

What about Health Freedom?
Health Freedom is about your ability to make your own choices
about your health and how you maintain it. Think you have that
choice? Think again. There are forces about that would like to
keep you in the dark about natural health, herbal supplements,
nutrition and anything like it that cannot be patented and made
into a cash cow. Mother nature knows best and supplies everything
man and animal needs to sustain a thriving life, but there are
those who want you to be ill and remain ill because they make
a LOT of money from it.

From Ron Paul's Website concerning Health Freedom:
| Americans are justifiably concerned over
the governments escalating intervention into their freedom
to choose what they eat and how they take care of their health.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA),
in order to comply with standards dictated by supra-national
organizations such as the UNs World Food Code (CODEX),
NAFTA, and CAFTA, has been assuming greater control over
nutrients, vitamins and natural health care providers to
restrict your right to choose the manner in which you manage
your health and nutritional needs.
I have been the national leader in preserving
Health Freedom.
I have introduced the Health Freedom Protection
Act, HR 2117, to ensure Americans can receive truthful health
information about supplements and natural remedies.
I support the Access to Medical Treatment
Act, H.R. 2717, which expands the ability of Americans to
use alternative medicine and new treatments.
I oppose legislation that increases the
FDAs legal powers. FDA has consistently failed to
protect the public from dangerous drugs, genetically modified
foods, dangerous pesticides and other chemicals in the food
supply. Meanwhile they waste public funds attacking safe,
healthy foods and dietary supplements.
I also opposed the Homeland Security Bill,
H.R. 5005, which, in section 304, authorizes the forced
vaccination of American citizens against small pox. The
government should never have the power to require immunizations
or vaccinations.
